Ely Cathedral: A house of prayer, the Mother Church of the Diocese of Ely, a popular tourist attraction - and a unique educational resource offering a variety of experiences and activities that support and enrich the National Curriculum.

Highlights include...

A series of public lectures and debates in which distinguished public figures, reflect on the relationship between Christian values and their sphere of work.

Ely Experience Weekends during which participants from all over the country have the opportunity to share in the life of the Cathedral community and take a "behind the scenes" look at Cathedral life.

Pilgrimage Tours for Parish and other groups which look at the story of the Cathedral from a spiritual as well as a historical perspective. Contact Canon Alan Hargrave

Providing a venue for artistic and creative exhibitions and giving space for organizations such as Christian Aid and Amnesty International to raise awareness of their vital work.

Ely Cathedral Centre

The Ely Cathedral Centre is situated opposite the main entrance (West Door) to the Cathedral in the former public library.

It has a large reception room with a kitchen for the provision of light refreshments, a small classroom and a large function room that can be used for lectures and larger groups.

Functions

The Centre also has facilities for the disabled including a lift to all floors.

The Centre is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and at other times by appointment. It is manned by the Centre Manager.
